Yaxhá ist eine archäologische Maya-Stätte im Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo Nationalpark im Nordosten des heutigen Guatemala. Die Stadt lag auf einem Bergrücken mit Blick auf den Yaxhá-See.

Tikal war eines der größten urbanen Zentren der präkolumbischen Maya-Zivilisation. Die archäologische Stätte ist riesig, und ständig werden neue Strukturen entdeckt und ausgegraben. Seit 1979 ist Tikal UNESCO Weltkultur- und Naturerbe. Die Ruinen liegen in einem Nationalpark und werden von Touristen, Affen und Papageien rege besucht. Die antike Stadt hiess vermutlich Yax Mutal oder Yax Mutul.

Yaxha is a Mayan archaeological site located in the Yaxha-Nakum-Naranjo National Park in northeastern Guatemala. The city was situated on a ridge overlooking Lake Yaxha. Tikal was one of the largest urban centers of the pre-Columbian Mayan civilization. The archaeological site is vast, and new structures are constantly being discovered and excavated. Tikal has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The ruins are located within a national park and are popular with tourists, monkeys, and parrots. The ancient city was likely called Yax Mutal or Yax Mutul.
